Sunday afternoon in Coventry, RI

It was a raw, blustery Sunday afternoon when we drove out to Coventry to revisit the Washington Secondary bike trail (part of the East Coast Greenway running from Massachusetts to Connecticut). We hadn't been out there since who knows when last year and needed a good stroll, preparing ourselves for the spring days to come.

Well, truth be told, Susie walked and I pulled out my folding bike from the basement, pumped some air into the rather deflated tires, and headed off to parts unknown (our familiar section of the bike path was closed for repairs).  I also had to stop at one of Coventry's more rustic historic cemeteries, which just happened to be right off the path.

After an hour or so of communing with the semi-natural forces in rural Rhode Island, we returned to the car, folded the bike back up, and headed home for a shower and afternoon nap.
